In his daring documentary feature debut, filmmaker Diego Costa tries to convince his father to participate in a series of role-playing exercises in which his father would portray Diego's ex-boyfriends. Not surprisingly, dad’s a bit uncomfortable with the idea. Integrating a wealth of home-video footage, The Parricide Sessions examines the dynamics between a gay son and his father, and the complex underpinnings of gay men’s longing for a father figure.
